The veena is a plucked stringed instrument used in Carnatic music, the South Indian style of Indian classical music. It is beautifully played by virtuosa Gayatri Govindarajan, a very promising young musician who also regularly plays the harp.
The santoor is a hammered dulcimer of Persian origin, often used by Sufi mystics as an accompaniment to their hymns. It is masterfully played by Dr. Sunil Katti who is on the faculty of SNDT University, a prestigious music college in Mumbai, India.
